Back in high school, I doddled. I drew cartoons. I drew heads. I drew figures. In the 80s I started drawing more advanced head and shoulder portraits. Then I started getting commissions, mainly for my graphite portraits. Not many artists do graphite/pencil/conte/charcoal works any more. It's all about color! For me, I can get some great realism with a pencil. I was a draftsman right out of high school, so I know how to achieve results with this medium. But, I also work in oil and pastels for portraiture.
I've done pets, animals, people, couples, kids, etc. I work from photos. Need a portrait? Contact me.
